STAMPS N ALL
I have been a stamp collector for over forty years, and a part-time stamp and collectibles dealer since 1976. ‘STAMPS N ALL’ started early in 2004 when I was offered the stamps collected by a local branch of a large national charity. The service I was offering locally soon came to the attention of the national charity’s head office and they offered me the opportunity to deal with all of their stamps nationally.
The business has developed ever since. I strongly believe all funds raised by charities and groups should be spent on the good causes it has been raised for, and not on administration. This ethos has stood me in good stead, because one of the conditions for working with charities is that I had to develop standard practices and procedures to ensure smooth running of my operation with minimal cost to the charity. As a result, I have effectively removed around 95% of the administration cost, and time, away from the charity or group, releasing them to do what they are best at, while I concentrate on securing the best prices for their recycled items. I built and operate STAMPS N ALL with my three guiding principles: Loyalty - Character - Integrity.
The service includes collection boxes, leaflets, collections & deliveries, including shipping cartons, for recycled stamps, coins, medals, old mobile phones and lots more.
Recycling with STAMPS N ALL
Up to 60% of the rubbish that ends up in the dustbin could be recycled, and you would be surprised at how many items can be recycled for the benefit of charities and groups. 9 out of 10 people would recycle more if it were made easier and knew how they could help. With STAMPS N ALL it doesn’t cost you, or your company, a penny to help, because we provide everything you need to collect the recycled items, and we cover the costs of our service through the sales of the recycled items, returningthe proceeds back to the charity or group. STAMPS N ALL started out collecting stamps, and the UK, as a whole, collects approximately 100-200 tonnes of stamps for charities each year. This equates on average to around 20% of all stamps used!
You really can help!
Charities, groups or clubs : get in touch direct with Stamps n All to discuss what you want to achieve, and how we can help you.
Businesses and individuals with space on their premises, who would like to collect items for charity are also welcome to get in touch. You can even nominate which charity* you would like to see the proceeds of your recycling donated to! It’s all at zero-cost to you, and for this service we provide collecting boxes and arrange the collection and delivery of recycled items. All with very little, if any, administration for the charity. All you need to do is assemble, place and monitor the collection boxes. There is space on the box to put your charity stickers, logos or leaflets to raise awareness of what is being collected. When we get back the recycled items, they are sorted, checked and sold for the best price, and monies raised are passed back to the charity. We will even provide detailed breakdowns of how much was received. It can be fascinating what items are raising the most money for your worthy cause! We can also provide a quantity of low-cost leaflets with information and instructions about what is being collected, to help you promote your collection box and raise more funds for your cause, (terms & conditions apply). * Stamps n All has a list of nominated charities you can choose from
What we can collect
Any stamps – used or unused. If they are on envelopes or cards, please leave about half a centimeter around the edges. Please don’t peel off stamps - it reduces their value. IF the stamps are on envelopes or cards postmarked before 1970 - DO NOT REMOVE THEM! This is because they can be worth more as a collectible item still complete on the envelope.
Postcards – with or without stamps on, but don’t remove stamps from postcards if they are on them.
Pre-1940s birthday cards & World War 1 silk cards
Envelopes and First-day covers – old, interesting looking, even with their letters in!
Coins and bank notes – old or new, from ANYWHERE in the world, obsolete or otherwise.
Precious metals – including broken jewellery, old trophies, gold, silver etc.
Medals and badges – and that is not limited to military items either. Even some costume jewellery is acceptable.
Keys – any age or type.
Watches – analogue, digital, working or not.
Mobile phones – any age or condition, working or not.
Small antiques – generally the small table trinkets, old stoneware printed & embossed bottles and pot lids, dolls etc (pre 1930).
Take a look in the loft. You would be amazed how much that old junk could raise for a good cause!
We can also collect large lots and collections by special arrangement.
